North Country School Student Attends FBLA National Fall Conference in Washington D.C.
The North Country Career Center FBLA Local Chapter President Emily Wheeler and her chapter advisor Nancy McDermott attended the FBLA National Fall Conference in Washington D.C. November 12th through the 15th.
The Conference had many different workshops that were a great place to get better leadership skills. The workshops during the conference were on a variety of topics such as SAT strategy sessions, ice breakers, effective presentation skills, ideas about fundraising plus many more. The March of Dimes was also a big part of the Conference.
Workshops were not the only things that were done at the conference. There was sightseeing around Washington D.C. wich was a great experience to see our nation's capital. There was also a trip to the zoo where we saw pandas and we had a tour of the monuments at night when they were also lit up and beautiful.
The conference was a great place to meet people from around the United States. There was free time where you could hang out in the hotel with people that you traveled with or you could be with people that you just met. There was also a dance on the last night that was a lot of fun for people to just say goodbye to new friends and for some to get ready for the long bus ride home.
